TALLAHASSEE — Christian conservatives frustrated by court rulings that have found a school voucher program unconstitutional may have hit upon a possible solution: changing the constitution.

Sen. Daniel Webster, a former House speaker and now the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said Wednesday he is exploring the possibility of a citizens initiative to repeal the 136-year-old wording that separates church and state in Florida.

Alan, Alan, Alan - - Come on man.  You can't be this Naïve.  The fundies are all over this killing of the Separation of Church and State in all of the states, at local, city, county, state, and also at the national levels to change the Constitution of the United States itself.  They are convinced that Rapture is upon the planet, the time is at hand, and that they must do everything - everything - no matter what - to be involved with the bringing of it about - This includes the president of the United States.  These Rapture-Evangelicals are at the least 46% of the electorate now.  They have, as a group, for the first time in the history of our country - REAL political power, and an administration that supports their ideology.

It is on the public record that Gorge W. Bush, President of the United States, firmly believes that anyone that has not been born again into the acceptance of Jesus Christ as their savior, is going to hell, and in reality - of no concern at all. For political reality, he pays a more open and public lip service to a diverse acceptance of a pluralistic nation, but in actions, he only gives support to the far-right, and radically insane deep far right, Evangelical Christian entities - through his open pushing of more and more "Faith-Based" Initiatives.  Even though there has been some token amounts allowed to actually reach other religious entities, the reality is that, so far, of all our tax dollars that have been spent on these Faith-Based programs, 90-99% has gone to the fundamental Evangelical Christian ones, the other 1-10%, (%'age varies depending where the data is read,) to the token giving for the political reality propaganda needs.

Half of this nation has taken, accepted, wanted - the "Red Pill."  I am fully convinced that if there isn't a revolt/revolution/civil-culture-war within this nation, and soon - That this nation will become the very definition of what it has fought/stood-against since before World War I, a Theocratic Nationalistic Corporate State, which we almost are now.  As Sidney Blumenthal said Dec 30th, in his "A State of Chaos" article, "George Bush has purged the last of his father's senior advisers, handing over control to his neocon allies. Republican elders who warned of endless war are purged. Those who advised Bush that Saddam was building nuclear weapons, that with a light military force the operation would be a "cakewalk", and that capturing Baghdad was "mission accomplished", are rewarded."  And that half of national is quite happy with the results of that purge of "Reality-Based" leaders from our nation's governmental structures.

So - Their efforts to change the constitutions of the states, and the country - is expected, almost a truism.
