I'm Sorry. . .
by The Old Hippie Because Of That ‘Something Ain’t Right’ Feeling...
Only time will show what the final reality will be. But since, (so far,) the incoming administration, and the incoming congress, has said nothing to indicate that they will pursue any punishments, or even any investigative research into the criminality of the outgoing corporatist criminals, I'm not sure I hold any optimism of a real dent being made into stopping the quite successful theft, the ongoing purposeful wealth transfer... ‘of, by, and for the-very-few.’
But I'm really trying to quell my outrage fatigued overwrought cynicism of late - Trying to have a bit of hope that the corrections, the punishments, the ending of the theft, and reversing of the wealth transfer will finally begin.
But - A large part of my ‘something just ain’t right’ feeling is that... It will not begin. That with all the hope of change expressed in this past election, all the change will be domestic, and it will be ‘cover’ (for lack of a better word) for a foreign policy that will basically remain the same. Obviously there is nothing wrong, and a lot right, about the coming domestic changes and corrections, but... At least for now, I am sensing a lack of change and corrections in our ‘Pax Americana’ mode of foreign policies, and that is not good, not good at all.

Thou hast said it, old hippie. And the "democrats" are still delirious with joy and blindness. And the children are still being slaughtered in the middle east.
How much a new emperor can change an old empire remains to be seen.
No person gets the job without both passing the "Jesus test" and demonstrating his allegiance to the military industrial complex, I'm afraid.
A real man of peace is not welcome, and never permitted, into the White House. That would be un-American.
Old Hippie ..
I feel your consternation. Perhaps a bit of your mood reflects the fact that right now, the United States is essentially a lame duck while Prez Bush hangs on to the last of his presidency, and Obama continues to try and change/create his own history.
As the old Dylan song goes, "Times, they are a-changin' .."
I like your blog, Old Hippie, and I'll be back for more so please keep posting as you can.
