Perhaps the percentage who don't know how long it takes the earth to orbit the sun is high because many don't even know that the earth orbits the sun. A lot of those folks haven't accepted (or even heard of) heliocentrism.
Have you been to the Creationism Museum yet? I understand it's really something. It's in Kentucky. Of course. Don't miss the gift shop.
