Just some final thoughts to contemplate before the election tomorrow.  Reality-based opinions, observations, facts, and realizations.  From disparate sources, all clearly linked, left, right, radical,

moderate, most of which are independent, but all are thought-provoking and honest - rather than the "propaganda" pushed or a "faith-based" perceived - reality.  You do have the right to not be clueless, to be informed, no matter how difficult those that profit from manufactured ignorance attempt to hide reality from you - Use that right to know.  Then do something really radical, and courageous - Share the reality with others you care about.  And - No small thing here - If you have not done so yet - Vote - Based on that reality, right or wrongly perceived.  Hell, you may even come away from the voting booth with a knowing smile on.

With TV-perfect timing, Bin Laden has once again managed, like the Wizard of Oz, to magnify himself.  - - -  In this video, to judge from the transcript, he's abandoned the role of Islamic true believer (and of course mass murderer) to take up the bloodless role of rational critic.  As a friend of mine said, he's joined the Capital Gang – or is it the Peshawar Gang?  Osama as pundit.

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — "I want you to stand, raise your right hands," and recite "the Bush Pledge," said Florida state Sen. Ken Pruitt.  The assembled mass of about 2,000 in this Treasure Coast town about an hour north of West Palm Beach dutifully rose, arms aloft, and repeated after Pruitt:  "I care about freedom and liberty.  I care about my family.  I care about my country.  Because I care, I promise to work hard to re-elect, re-elect George W. Bush as president of the United States."
