Domestic Enemies Defined. . .
They Are Not Who You Think They Are. . .

A quote by Avi Schlaim, an Israeli histor-
ian, on the issue of comparisons to Nazi Germany (in this instance referring to the Israeli government and military leaders, but the parallel works here as well--) "The issue isn't whether or not we are the same as the Nazis, the issue is that we aren't different enough." Source: Armando at the Daily Kos Any American that does not see the par- allel between our current history, and the history of the rise of the Nazi party in the Germany of the 1930's, is one of the fol- lowing. . . delusional, ignorant, stupid, or - is profiting, or at least "believe" they are somehow profiting, economically and/or socially, from it. All federal officers for the United States, both military and civilian officers, must swear an oath, that in part says. . . "To protect and preserve the Constitution of the United States of America from all enemies, both foreign and domestic." |

To Simplify The Obvious. . .
by The Old Hippie, Because History Is Repeating Itself
Hitler did three things that brought his nationalistic party (Nazi party) to power.
1. He destroyed Germany's "Separation of Church and State" - - -
"The national government will maintain and defend the foundations on which the power of our nation rests. It will offer strong protection to Christianity as the very basis of our collective morality. Today Christians stand at the head of our country. We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit. We want to burn out all the recent immoral developments in literature, in the theatre, and in the press — in short, we want to burn out the poison of immorality which has entered into our whole life and culture as a result of LIBERAL excess during the past years."
- Adolph Hitler - Taken from The Speeches of Adolph Hitler, 1922-1939, Vol. 1, Michael Hakeem, Ph.D. (London, Oxford University Press, 1942), pp. 871-872.
Think! Faith-Based Initives, Creationism in schools, Evangelical insanity - The Rapture - etc.
2. He consolidated and took control of Germany's media - - -
"It is the absolute right of the State to supervise the formation of public opinion."
- Joseph Goebbels
Think! Fox - Washington Times - Limbaugh - Hannity - Ann Coulter - Weekly Standard - etc.
3. Propagandized a non-existent enemy in the State controlled nation's media, to instill
fear for social and governmental manipulation - - -
"The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."
- Hermann Goering
Think! Iraq - No WMDs - Did not attack us - No Iraqis on the planes - etc.

Now, dear readers - Can you guess who our "domestic" enemies are?
Shouldn't all of us true-blue, (pun fully intended,) patriotic Americans do something a bit more dramatic than "angry words" about it? About "them?"

While we are on history repeating itself. . . How many of you, or people you know, actually remember that back in the Nixon Administration, at the beginning of detente, the beginning of the end of the cold war with Russia, that three men in his administration fought to stop this coming peace, by claiming that the Russians had super-Weapons-of-Mass-Destruction, that - all - of our intelligence agencies said didn't exist, just exactly like how we Americans were fooled into the war with Iraq?
Know who those three men were? Dick Chaney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Paul Wolfiwitz.

Isn't that odd? What was it Bush tried to say. . . ?
"Fool me once, shame on you - Fool me twice, shame on me"
