Of course, since the morons of our nation do not bother to believe anyone but Fox, or their
con-artist mega-church preachers, or their sociopathic propagandist collaborating profiteers,
i.e. Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Coulter, Dobbs, et al... they will never watch or see this.  They
will continue to allow their own (manipulated) self-destruction, claiming anyone who disagrees with them, by being so rude as to smack them in the face with the documented proof of their ignorance. . . is a stupid far-left elitist.

The problem with the morons proudly, patriotically, allowing of their own self-destruction, is
that it is destroying much more than just their environment, their livelihoods, their lives...

It is destroying us all.  Ignorance is curable, stupidity is forever.

Fight the stupid - Educate the ignorant.  Or stupidly pay the price.

Michrel,

You may be aware that Eric Burns of Media Matters has a similar take on Mr. Dobbs and others voicing questions about Barack Obama's being a "natural born citizen".

Below is my response to Mr. Burns. As for Media Matters, so with your blog: I have agreed with you 99% of the time. On this issue, I do not. By the way, here's the link to the article I attached to the e-mail to Mr. Burns.

Mr. Burns,

On almost all matters Media Matters has addressed to date, I have agreed with both your stand and your approach. On this issue – as raised by Lou Dobbs and many others, questions about whether Barack Obama is a natural born citizen, within the meaning of the Constitutional requirement, and thus eligible for the office to which he was elected – I heartily disagree with both your position and your approach.

Full disclosure: I am a progressive, left-coast independent. Among my favored outlets for information are OPEDNEWS.COM and commondreams.org. Had I not seen early on that we had yet another contest between Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee (a very belated thank you to Ralph Nader for the heads up), I would have voted for Mr. Obama. The present administration continues, and has accelerated policies and programs of the previous one. Thanks to others you might also call “conspiracy theorists” (e.e., Steve Lendman, F. William Engdahl, Tom Burghardt), I had plenty of warning not to expect change.

I attach an article I hope you have already read or, if not, that you will read. Have you yourself ever seen or heard of such a blackout on a man’s past as there is for Obama, from birth through college? I think it fair to call the measures taken to hide or otherwise prevent the contents of historic documents from reaching public purview extreme and unprecedented. Do you disagree? I believe questions raised by Mr. Dobbs are legitimate and demanded of all journalists. The general silence to date shows more the compromised, biased nature of mainstream media (from Faux News all the way up). IN fact, I am surprised Mr. Dobbs has had the courage, and CNN the tolerance, to allow some honest questioning along these lines. I had given up CNN, NBC, and the whole sorry lot for dead long ago.

In conclusion, I do not think Lou Dobbs has or is a problem. I am sorry to see Media Matters label – just as “rightwing wing-nuts” do to others – questioners as “birthers”, “conspiracy theorists”, or “tin-foil hats”. Makes me think you people have missed the boat on this one.

Sincerely,

Alan Donelson

"I'm a progressive and I know the birth certificate is still in question..."  Just goes to prove that even people who swear they are not blind to the truth, are in fact blind to the truth.

Hawaii officially went ‘paperless’ years ago, and has a copy of the original, and states that officially, as was presented in the video, which you obviously ignored.

The article you refer to states he is not "natural" born, but the Constitution states clearly, “...a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States...” - The author of your referred to article harps on the natural born part, and the posting is at a right-wing biased/propaganda site.

You have been fooled, like so many others, by not paying close enough attention to the evidence.

Proclaiming that Lou Dobbs doesn't have a problem, actually makes me call in to question whether you were being honest about actually being a "progressive" in the last place, not to mention the first place.

Sorry - I know you are wrong about it, or simply lying about it, are were too lazy to dig deep enough to keep from having the worst of progressive mind glitches.

Thanks for responding, The Old Hippie. The full sentence in the Constituion reads as follows: “ No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

No one alive today is a Citizen of the US "at the time of adoption of the Constitution". And it seems very likely that Obama is not natural born.

Back to you.

"at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution" means the opposite of your implication - time-wise.  But, of course, that could also be interpreted either way, depending on ones political leanings/needs at the time of their defining their interpretation that part of Clause II of Article II of what‘s left of our Constitution.

As a “progressive” I'm sure you’ve read the following; Link 1 - or, God forbid, this 2nd link at Crooks And Liars, which is more up to date, about The bill just passed unanimously, concerning this -- even the nutty Michelle Bachmann voted for it.

My best advice to you at this time is to simply get over it.

Indeed, dear TOH, time to move on.

In closing our discussion, I would point out that the Congress passing that "bill" includes most of the same folks that passed Patriot Acts, absolved telecommunications companies of wrongdoing ex post facto, approved bailouts, etc., etc. I am not sure their voting unanimously that Mr. Obama was born anywhere, anytime carries much weight or conveys any truth.

Truly, I see little import in whether Mr. Obama is a "natural born", naturalized, or a Manchurian Candidate citizen. As a puppet, like GW Shrub (Molly I., GOD rest your soul), he is a mask at best on a cadre of folks you yourself acknowledge as a root of our problems. In retrospect, I suspect the citizenship question will be at best a diversion (from NAIS, for many other critical issues), at worst an excuse to wreck more havoc on the American consciousness -- the latter by revealing Obama is indeed not eligible to serve as President, shoudl that ever be of use to the PTB [powers that be].

Peace.
